WWE Raw was the top show on cable on Monday for the third consecutive week as the new era of the WWE continues.

The August 7th episode from Cleveland averaged 1,956,000 viewers and approximately 700,000 (0.54) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

The show was coming off its highest viewership in 2 1; ½ years last week and dropped 12 percent this week while the key demo audience fell 12 percent. It was their second-largest audience since June 20th and equaled the 18-49 audience that tuned in for John Cena’s return on June 27th.

The show began with 1,953,000 viewers and 0.51 in the 18-49 demographic (the demo was the lowest of the three hours).

In the second hour, the audience grew to 2,046,000 viewers and 0.56 in the demo, which included the United States Championship match.

The final hour averaged 1,868,000 viewers and 0.54 in 18-49.

The show was down in all the key demos with last week, but that was an exceptionally high number for a multitude of reasons. Compared with the episode from two weeks ago, Raw was ahead in every key demo this week.

More people stuck around throughout the episode this week with overall viewership only falling four percent over the three hours while the 18-49 audience grew by six percent. Every key demo except adults 50+ was higher in hour three than in hour one – led by adults 18-34 growing 16 percent and males 12-34 increasing by 12 percent throughout the show.

The only network show that outperformed Raw was The Bachelorette which did 0.75 in 18-49.

Raw outdistanced everything on cable with Tucker Carlson finishing second at 0.33 on Fox News, and Better Call Saul at 0.32 on AMC.

In Canada, Raw averaged 226,700 viewers and 113,100 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360 compared with 275,400 and 128,300 last week. This week’s show finished third among sports programs for the night.
