Originally published at WWE Raw holds steady against NFL & MLB, boost in 18-34 demo
WWE Raw stayed steady from the week prior while airing against Monday Night Football and the Major League Baseball playoffs.
The October 23 edition of Raw from Dallas averaged 1,476,000 viewers and 602,000 (0.46) in the 18-49 demographic on the USA Network, per Wrestlenomics and Sports TV Ratings.
The Monday Night Football game between the San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings averaged 18.6 million viewers across ABC, ESPN & ESPN 2 and 4.91 rating in the demo. Raw also aired against Game 7 of the Astros vs. Rangers which averaged 6.77 million and 1.64 in the demo on Fox & FS1.
Viewership was virtually identical to last week’s average of 1,483,000 while the demo was up by 2%.
In the 18-49 demo, males were essentially unchanged from last week while females saw a 6% uptick to 178,000.
The only significant movement among the demos was with adults 18-34 where the category saw a 20% gain to 263,000 and enhanced by female viewers growing from 59,000 to 85,000 or 44%. This led to Raw’s largest 18-34 audience since August 14.
Adults 35-49 were down by 9% to 339,000.
Raw opened with 1,567,000 viewers and 0.47 in the demo for the first hour and included the Judgment Day angle with Cody Rhodes at the beginning of the show. The second hour saw a minimal viewership decrease to 1,514,000 and the demo was steady at 0.47. The third hour dropped to 1,347,000 and 0.43 including the main event of Damian Priest vs. Jey Uso.
