Originally published at WWE Raw notes: Dakota Kai & IYO SKY advance to finals, Beth Phoenix helps Edge, Kurt Angle appearing
The duo of Dakota Kai and IYO SKY defeated Alexa Bliss and Asuka to advance to the finals of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament.
Due to Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolin being injured, she and Jacy Jayne were pulled from the tournament and their place in the semifinals will be filled by way of a ‘second chance’ Fatal 4-Way that will see Tamina and Dana Brooke versus Sonya Deville and Natalya versus Xia Li and Shotzi versus Doudrop and Nikki ASH. The winner of that match is going to take on Aliyah and Raquel Rodriguez in the semis and compete to face Dakota in IYO in the final.
Toronto, Canada’s own Trish Stratus appeared in the opening segment alongside Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair to lead into the tag title tourney match.

In the main event, Edge picked up a win over Damian Priest. He hit a ‘Canadian Destroyer’ which was followed by a spear. Post-match, The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Rhea Ripley & Priest) ambushed Edge. Beth Phoenix got in the ring to fend off Judgment Day.
Earlier in the night, Balor defeated Dolph Ziggler. He debuted The Judgment Day’s new theme song.

Next week’s Raw is taking place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and scheduled for that show is the return of Kurt Angle along with a face-to-face between Seth Rollins and Riddle ahead of their match at Clash at the Castle.
There was a tag match on the program that saw The Miz and Ciampa take on AJ Styles and United States Champion Bobby Lashley. During the match, an individual in a mask grabbed Styles while he was ringside and that individual was pulled away by security. For weeks, it has been Dexter Lumis in those spots but this go-around, Lumis was seated on the opposite end of the barricade and kidnapped Miz.

Bayley has competed in several house show matches, but tonight’s Raw was her TV in-ring return. She defeated Aliyah in singles competition. She had not wrestled on WWE TV since May 2021.
