Xavier Woods appeared at the 2021 SummerSlam event and had a segment with John Morrison and The Miz. Kofi Kingston was not present on the show and on tonight’s Raw, Kingston did not accompany Woods to the ring for his match against The Miz. According to PWInsider, Kingston is not cleared to wrestle. Kingston’s most recent match was a dark match following the 8/16 Raw.
Logan Paul returned to WWE TV as a guest on ‘Moist TV’. Paul was met was chorus of boos from the crowd in San Diego, California. His segment was a bridge to the breakup of John Morrison and The Miz as a team.

WWE announced three matches for their 8/30 show and those matches are listed as followed:
- Bobby Lashley vs. Sheamus
- Eva Marie vs. Doudrop
- John Morrison vs. The Miz
