One week after the College Football Playoff National Championship game, WWE Raw rebounded with major increases among their key demographics and topping 2.3 million viewers for this past week’s episode.

The three-hour show, which included a three-minute overrun, averaged 2,380,000 viewers and was up 17% from last week’s average against the Clemson vs. LSU game that did twenty-five million viewers.

The first hour averaged 2,548,000 viewers featuring the ladder match between Andrade and Rey Mysterio that took up a large portion of the hour. It fell 2% in the second hour to 2,492,000 viewers and then declined 16% in the third hour to 2,101,000 viewers. The show led to the main event segment with Bobby Lashley & Lana defeating Rusev & Liv Morgan.

With adults 18-49, Raw did a solid 0.83, which was up 36% from the week prior and up 14% from two weeks ago that factors out last week’s football competition for the lower figure.

The show was up huge with women as females 18-49 increased 47.5% from last week and 13.5% from two weeks ago. Females 12-34 increased 48% from last week and 12% from two weeks ago, so something on the show hit big with those demographics.

Adults 25-54 were up 36% and males 18-49 were up 33% from last week’s number.

The main competition on Monday night was the cable news coverage of the impeachment hearing coming up, as well as an NBA game between the Lakers and Celtics on TNT that did 2,015,000 viewers.

When comparing the first hour figures to the third, the biggest drop was among females 18-49 which fell 25% followed by adults 18-49 and 25-54 that were down 19% from the first hour to the third.

Compared to the same week in 2019, Raw was only down 3% year-to-year and it is an accurate comparison as last week’s show was also the ‘go-home’ Raw for the Royal Rumble.

Here is a breakdown of the demographics and I’ve also included the fluctuations from two weeks ago for a more accurate comparison due to last week’s major competition from the LSU vs. Clemson game.

Outdrew then lakers vs Celtics? Damn.

Looks like people are figuring out that it was a good 2 hour Raw

Raw has been decent recently so it’s good that the viewership figures reflect that. It doesn’t fit the narrative of WWE’s ratings dying week by week so I’m sure this will be ignored.

About 2/3rds of it have been good and that shows with the big 3rd hour drop. Usually it seems much more consistent a drop from hour to hour.
