WWE Raw scores four-week high, Canadian numbers for Raw & SmackDown

WWE Raw scored its best numbers since the start of the NFL season on Monday night.

The October 2 episode from San Jose averaged 1,511,000 viewers and 632,000 (0.48) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics.

The audience was up by 3% while the 18-49 audience saw a 12.5% gain from last week’s numbers – Raw’s largest since September 4.

Raw aired against Week 4 of Monday Night Football with the Seattle Seahawks vs. NY Giants on ABC, ESPN, ESPN 2 & ESPN Deportes.

Raw started with 1,626,000 viewers and 640,000 in the 18-49 demographic for the first hour. The show saw a decline to 1,511,000 in the second hour but the demo stayed steady at 645,000. The final hour saw a drop to 1,385,000 viewers and 612,000 in the demo.

The first-to-third drop was 15% in viewers but only a 4% decline in the 18-49 demo.

In the 18-49 demo, female viewership grew 18% to 189,000 from last week while men increased by 11% to 444,000.

Adults 18-34 improved by 33% to 260,000, which is the demo’s largest number since August 14.

Adults 35-49 were relatively unchanged with a 2% bump from last week to 372,000.

In Canada, the show averaged approximately 245,000 viewers and 107,000 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360. The show dropped 11% in viewers from last week’s broadcast and declined 5% in the demo.

This past Friday’s edition of SmackDown in Canada averaged 155,100 and 50,400 in the demo on Sportsnet 360. SmackDown ranked #10 among sports programs on Friday, which was a loaded night with the Toronto Blue Jays attempting to clinch a playoff spot against Tampa Bay, two CFL games, and a pre-season game with the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs.
