The return of John Cena generated a minor increase for WWE Raw, which was the top cable show on Monday night.

The March 6th episode from Boston averaged 1,827,000 viewers and approximately 678,000 (0.52) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

While Cena’s addition to the show moved a lot of tickets in Boston, the show only saw a three percent increase in viewership and a one percent uptick in the 18-49 audience from last week’s episode.

In the main demo, males grew seven percent while females dropped by seven percent this week.

Adults 18-34 decreased by 4.5 percent while adults 35-49 increased by five percent.

The show opened with 1,855,000 viewers and 0.53 in the 18-49 demographic, it stayed consistent in the second hour with 1,885,000 viewers and 0.53 and fell to 1,741,000 and 0.50 in the third hour.

There was good retention throughout the three-hour program as viewership dropped by eight percent, 18-49 dropped by six percent, and adults 18-34 were steady for the entire show. Males 12-34 grew by 18 percent after the first hour and stuck around for the rest of the episode while females 12-34 dropped by 24 percent after the first hour and never returned.

The segment involving John Cena and Austin Theory kicked off the third hour of the show and lasted throughout the quarter.

The last time John Cena appeared on Raw was on June 27, 2022, with that episode averaging 1,951,000 and 0.54 in the 18-49 demographic, so this time around it was slightly less.

This week’s episode also featured an appearance by Logan Paul to set up the match with Seth Rollins for WrestleMania, and the show was headlined by Sami Zayn vs. Jimmy Uso.

In Canada, the show did another strong number with 319,600 viewers and 168,700 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360. It ranked second among sports programs on Monday night behind the NHL and that includes a Toronto Raptors vs. Denver Nuggets game and Curling.

This week’s numbers in Canada were up from 272,100 viewers and 103,500 in the demo last week.
