WWE Raw sees small drop against World Series & NFL

WWE Raw aired against a big night of sports with Game 3 of the World Series and the NFL’s Monday Night Football game.

The October 30 edition of Raw from Greenville averaged 1,391,000 viewers and 567,000 (0.43) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics and Sports TV Ratings.

Overall viewership and the 18-49 demo were each down by 6% from last week, although the demo was up by 20% from the same week in 2022.

Last year’s episode occurring during this week aired on Halloween night with 1,501,000 viewers and 471,000 (0.36) in the demo. It aired against Monday Night Football but there was no World Series game played that night.

Raw aired against Game 3 of the World Series between the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks, which averaged 8,356,000 viewers and a 1.59 rating in the demo. The Monday Night Football game between Las Vegas and Detroit averaged 8.4 million viewers and 1.59 in the demo on ABC and 6.9 million and 2.37 on ESPN for a combined audience of 15,207,000 and 3.96 rating in the 18-49 demo.

Raw opened with 1,466,000 viewers and 0.46 in the demo for the first hour, in hour two it averaged 1,450,000 viewers and 0.44 and saw a big drop to 1,256,000 viewers and 0.39 in the demo – making it one of the least-watched hours in the history of Raw.

The only episodes of Raw with lower viewership that this week occurred on September 11 and September 18 of this year. In the 18-49 demo, this week’s show was only the lowest since October 8.

The 18-49 demo held up well with males dropping by 7% and females nearly identical to last week going from 178,000 to 176,000.

The largest decline was among males 18-34, falling from 179,000 to 118,000 or 34% while women in the demo displayed growth of 11% from last week. Overall, the demo dropped by 19% from last week’s number.

Adults 35-49 improved by 6% going from 339,000 to 356,000 with a 13% gain with males and the same percentage loss with women.

In Canada, Raw averaged approximately 227,000 viewers and 86,000 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360. The show dropped 13% in viewers and decreased 27% in the demo from last week.

This is the last week that Raw will air against the World Series, which will wrap up later this week.
