WWE Raw stayed consistent week-to-week among its viewership and demographic numbers while facing a larger NFL game that was broadcast on ABC & ESPN.

Monday’s episode of Raw averaged 1,688,000 viewers that were down a minimal 1.25 percent from last week. For the second week in a row, they achieved a 0.50 rating in the 18-49 demographic placing them fifth for the night among cable programs. It was their lowest viewership since August 17th, which was the final Raw from the Performance Center.

In Canada, Raw averaged 266,900 viewers on Sportsnet 360 with 155,400 in the 25-54 demographic. They were the sixth most-watched sports broadcast of the night in Canada, which was led by the NHL playoff game with the Dallas Stars vs. Tampa Bay Lightning followed by the Toronto Blue Jays vs. New York Yankees baseball game.

The show began with 1,746,000 viewers which is their lowest opening hour since the ThunderDome launched. The show dropped 3 percent in the second hour to 1,692,000 viewers and dropped another 7.5 percent in the final hour to 1,565,000 viewers. The third hour was slightly above last week’s closing hour.

While last week’s Monday Night Football debut did 10.76 million viewers, this week’s game between New Orleans and Las Vegas aired on both ABC and ESPN for a larger cumulative audience. The game on ABC averaged 7,984,000 and ESPN’s coverage of the game did 7,451,000. Raw did outperform the NHL playoff game between Dallas and Tampa Bay that did 1,137,000 viewers and a 0.33 demo rating.

Raw didn’t see too many large changes among its demographics except women 18-49 which grew 18 percent this week. The only notable declines were males 18-49 and males 12-34 each dropping by 9 percent.

The third-hour drop among the demos was led by females 12-34 declining by 17 percent from the first hour while adults over 50 fell 12.5 percent and women 18-49 decreased by 12 percent. The main 18-49 demo held strong and only dropped 6 percent in the last hour.

The show was promoted around the latest match between Drew McIntyre and Keith Lee and the Raw Underground showdown between Braun Strowman and Dabba-Kato. In the first hour, they advertised Retribution’s first match on Raw which occurred in the main event slot against The Hurt Business.
