WWE Raw was strengthened by its commercial-free first hour and did a large decline throughout the episode.

The November 28th edition of Raw from Norfolk averaged 1,668,000 viewers and approximately 526,000 (0.40) in the 18-49 demographic with data from Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

It was Raw’s highest viewership since October 17th but also its lowest 18-49 audience since Halloween night.

Raw’s overall viewership was up by 1% this week while the 18-49 demographic dropped by 2% while ranking sixth among cable originals on Monday. The show finished behind ESPN’s coverage of the Monday Night Football game between Indianapolis and Pittsburgh and SportsCenter.

The Monday Night Football game averaged 10,882,000 viewers and 3.18 in the 18-49 demo, which was down 2.5% and 4% respectively from last week.

In the 18-49 demo the lack of a major decrease was entirely due to its male viewership growing 14% this week, which offset the 28% decline among females in the key demo. The female viewership in the 18-49 was the lowest number of the year for Raw and dropped 30% throughout the three-hour program.

There were also significant weekly declines with women 18-34 dropping 26% and females 35-49 down 23%. This follows a pattern from the previous editions of Dynamite, SmackDown, and Rampage (in a different time slot) seeing lower viewership among its female audiences over the past week. However, males in those demos saw increases with 18-49 up 14%, males 18-34 up 32%, and an increase of 3% among males 35-49.

Raw began with a commercial-free hour that averaged 1,951,000 viewers and 0.46 in the demo, which was the most-watched of Raw since the return of Monday Night Football this season.

In the second hour, viewership fell to 1,619,000 and 0.39 in the demo and then took another drop in the third hour to 1,433,000 viewers and 0.36 in 18-49.

From the first to the final hour, viewership fell by 27% and the 18-49 audience declined by 22%. The largest drop throughout the show was among adults 50+ which fell 28%.

In Canada, Raw averaged 209,000 viewers and 92,000 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360, which was up from 153,000 and 88,000 last week.

The first episode of the Teddy Hart documentary “Dangerous Breed: Crime. Cons. Cats” aired immediately after Raw on the USA Network and averaged 275,000 viewers and 0.06 in the 18-49 demographic, which ranked #84 among cable originals on Monday.
