AEW Dynamite finished third among cable originals on Wednesday behind the NBA while experiencing a minor drop from last week’s episode.
The March 30th edition of the show from South Carolina averaged 979,000 viewers and approximately 492,000 (0.38) in the 18-49 demographic, according to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

Overall viewership dropped six percent while the 18-49 audience fell by seven percent compared with last week’s figures.
There was a decline among females in the 18-49 demo with a 14 percent drop while women 18-34 were down 38 percent this week – it was the show’s lowest female 18-34 audience since February 16th.
The 50+ demo dropped from 0.42 to 0.39 this week while adults 35-49 had a small uptick from last week.
The show aired against the Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics game that averaged 1,375,000 viewers and 0.46 in 18-49 on ESPN, finishing second on cable behind the late NBA game.
In Canada, the show averaged approximately 98,000 viewers on TSN 2, which was down from 149,200 last week and one of their lower numbers in Canada in recent memory.
The show was headlined by Andrade El Idolo against Darby Allin and featured announcements throughout the day on Wednesday that CM Punk and Bryan Danielson would be wrestling on the show in separate matches. It also featured the reveal of Toni Storm as the mystery opponent for The Bunny in a qualifying match for the Owen Hart Foundation tournament.
