As we approach the biggest show outside of wrestlemania of the year, I am wondering if people are watching this year and if doing so are they planning on doing it live.
As opposed to last year, where a lot of stuff just seem thrown together, this year has had really good builds for a lot of matches. It genuinely does feel like the culmination of many feuds.
We obviously know it’s on Sunday and with the time difference in North America at least will air during the daytime. Probably a lot better, however for our international friends in terms of time
Personally I won’t be watching it live as I’m busy on Sunday, and I haven’t ordered it. If it’s outstanding, I will maybe order a replay.
Same! I plan to catch All In live. I should be able to wake up early enough, have breakfast, walk my dog, and shower after my walk, and then sit down and settle in at the start of the kickoff show.
Build has felt really cohesive, each major program has been built very well over the last 2-5 weeks (apart from Toni/Mariah which has been in neutral since the turn). Reactions for Ospreay and Danielson are gonna be huge, no matter what happens.
I agree with the last minute schmozz of last year in comparison to this; there’s perhaps something to be said about the likes of Okada and Mox with nothing to do on the company’s biggest show of the year (though lord knows the latter deserves some down time), but I’d rather have some things being left for All Out rather than being rushed onto this show, which we all know is gonna run long anyway.
In terms of time, I actually really enjoyed waking up, putting some coffee on, and watching the card over breakfast last year (and then having the rest of my Sunday to fart around with) and am looking forward to doing the same again.
My guess is that it will end up being similar for me to last year. I’m not able to order live. But if I see really positive feedback during the afternoon on Sunday then I’ll order it Sunday night to watch.
I’ll be watching. Not live because I hate watching wrestling live, but I’ll likely watch it at some point during the week. I’m very much looking forward to the main event.
I was geared up to actually watch live on Sunday, then I remembered it’s a noon start for me. Either way, I should still be able to watch on Sunday night. Looking forward to it.
A lot of afternoon PPVs have been tough for me to catch, which is unfortunate because it feels like we have more of those than ever. But I’m happy to say that I’ll be able to catch it live this time.
The one issue with these shows, and it’s not just AEW or the UK fans. Without painting everyone at the same brush, I find them to be the most annoying. They used to come to wrestlemania all the time and they’re always drinking too much and coming up with dumb football chants and making it into a soccer match. I’m a huge soccer fan and I have to watch most of the games on mute because can’t stand them.
They did the same thing with the big bill Cheering him for no reason. They just like to make themselves the star of the show and you can see that happening again.
I feel this would be a weird announcement to make on a TV show that you re-signed a TV deal. Its one thing if you switched to a new provider, then 100% you want to get that all over your TV. But being re-upped feels like something you talk about at a press conference.
