ROH World Champion Bandido is off the Final Battle pay-per-view this Saturday after it was revealed he had a positive COVID-19 test.

On Friday evening, the promotion issued the following statement:

Unfortunately, ROH World Champion Bandido returned a positive results on his most recent Covid Testing and will not be present at Final Battle this Saturday, December 11th in Baltimore.

Thank you for continuously supporting Ring of Honor through it all and we appreciate your understanding that safety and health of our talents, staff and fans are our top priorities.

Stay tuned for match updates regarding Final Battle 2021 as we commemorate the history-making era that is coming to an end.

Bandido last wrestled this past Saturday at AAA’s TripleMania Regia and was set to defend the ROH Championship against Jonathan Gresham in the main event of Saturday’s pay-per-view in Baltimore, Maryland.

Earlier in the evening, West Coast Pro Wrestling out of South San Francisco announced Bandido was off their Friday night card. He was scheduled to face ACH and is being replaced by Rey Horus.

We will keep you updated regarding the card and whatever the new main event is for the pay-per-view on Saturday night.

This isn’t the first time he’s had COVID either, if I recall correctly.

Really sucks to hear. Of course I hope he feels better.

I’ve seen a longer list if talent that’s off this show.

Sucks to see ROH going out on this note. Hopefully they’re able to do something special, especially for a main with Gresham.
