Bella Twins comment on women's evolution not being showcased at WWE Raw 30, mentions Mercedes Moné & Saraya

The Bellas were advertised for Raw 30.

The 30th anniversary of Monday Night Raw emanated from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Among those that were advertised for the show were WWE Hall of Famers The Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie Bella).

The pair did not appear on the program but took to Instagram Live and weighed in on the show. Nikki brought up how the women’s evolution was not showcased. Nikki and Brie mentioned the likes of Mercedes Moné and Saraya as names WWE did not want to mention or show.

Nikki: … Another good memory on Raw. How didn’t they showcase anything from the women’s evolution?

Brie: Also, the way we did our matches on there —

Nikki: Because Sasha Banks is in it and they’re like, we can’t. Mercedes is too over and we can’t say her name.

Brie: There’s a couple other girls and ‘Raya. There’s a bunch of us they don’t wanna show. That’s fine.

Nikki: That’s fine. When you do what they don’t wanna do…

Brie: It’s not what you don’t do, it’s what you do-do.

They are absolutely right that the contribution by the women on Raw for 30 years was not highlighted enough last night. And then on top of that for the women’s cage match to have been cut was definitely upsetting.

Whether it was because of their sex appeal, characters, in-ring work or all three there are so many women that deserved to have been brought back or at a bare minimum more heavily featured in a highlight package.
