Kendrick had to drive himself home in case he needed to stop for medical attention.

Back in December of 2017 while Monday Night Raw was live on Christmas day, KENTA went one-on-one with Brian Kendrick. As their match was coming to an end, KENTA hit Kendrick with his signature ‘G.T.S.’ finisher which connected flush and fractured Kendrick’s orbital bone.

Kendrick recounted that mishap during his appearance on Highspots’ Virtual Gimmick Table show. He shared that he had to drive himself home afterwards and could not take a plane or train in case he needed immediate medical attention.

He added that KENTA was very apologetic about what occurred and if they saw each other present day, they’d likely laugh about it.

So on Christmas day, two thousand — I don’t know — ‘17, ‘18, I took ‘Go To Sleep’ in Chicago and it broke my orbital bone.

He .

I don’t keep in contact with anybody but , we would laugh about it I’m sure. Yeah, it was just sh*t happens, you know? And it was a, you know, ah, whatever. I got a couple weeks off from it. That was all right.

After being out of action since Wrestle Kingdom 16, KENTA returned to in-ring action during the New Japan Road tour. He is scheduled to compete in the G1 and is in the C block.
