Jericho was interviewed on The Dan Le Batard Show on ESPN yesterday. He said the cruise was 96% sold out.
He also said his original wrestling name was ‘Jack Action’ until Lance Storm told him it was bad, so he started looking for a new one and noticed the ‘Walls of Jericho’ by Helloween cassette tape in his car.
Also, he’s pretty confident if he and Goldberg had a shoot fight again today Goldberg would kick his arse.
John, your explanation of your votes for your WON HOF was awesome. I am a little curious about your take on Akiyama. Do you think he should go in one day and do you think it’s too early to give him credit for AJPW’s return from near death and that we need to see how big it gets?
Agree with everyone else on John’s explanation for his voting process. If you guys have nothing next week I would love to hear John’s reasoning on Edge, Punk not being in and how many more years of top level matches would Omega need. Also if you wanted to skip Being the Elite recaps until something newsworthy popped up I don’t know how many would object
Here is the Callis promo I wrote feedback about: https://youtu.be/j149TSAu2GM (skip to about 2:20 mark for promos)
He talks about his influence in New Japan being the one to broker the Jericho deal and also his role in Impact - yes it was a promo, but I do think with how many things he is involved with his quietly become a broker in the industry
I am so glad Jericho’s Cruise was announced as SOLD OUT yesterday as my feedback was completely naïve. I had not seen any reports on sales and just advertising for cabins. Good for him!
My favorite part of what Corgan is selling is that he views the WWE Network as THE network for wrestling and would love to get original third party content on there. I do think after this upcoming free agent frenzy it’s something WWE should look to do.
Also - I feel like my Tama Tonga point maybe got missed. I was mostly referring to when he went after Meltzer. But yes, probably all in character. I enjoy it.
