The overnight ratings from Friday showed an increase for Friday Night SmackDown coming off last week’s post-Thanksgiving episode.

This week’s overnight figure, which monitors the top markets in the country, displayed an average of 2,446,000 viewers. The average represents an increase of 5% from last week’s final number.

The show did 2,536,000 viewers in the first hour and dropped 7% in the second hour to 2,356,000 viewers. The show built towards the main event between Roman Reigns and Dolph Ziggler and post-match angle involving the dog food attack on Reigns.

With adults 18-49, the show averaged a 0.7 but didn’t win the night due to ABC’s College Football programming. Among 18-34s, SmackDown did a 0.5 in hour one and 0.4 in hour two, which were second to the ABC sports programming.

Both demos were unchanged from last week’s numbers.

The final number should be out on Monday.

Almost 2.5 Million people who watch that boring stuff. I am amazed

Recorded it but never watched it.

They’re obviously doing things right… No wonder AEW decided not to go with the “sports based” approach, it doesn’t work. Copying WWE in having crazy storylines. Three creepy, horror based factions, a woman from another planet and an intelligent, human dinosaur. Sports Entertainment.
