The overnight figures for Friday Night SmackDown placed on the show on par with last week’s episode topping two million viewers.

The overnight figure is listed at 2,089,000 viewers for Friday’s episode on Fox that was promoted around the debut of Matt Riddle, who confronted AJ Styles during his championship celebration.

The breakdown saw 2,147,000 viewers tuning in for the first hour and dropping to 2,031,000 in hour two. The final segment saw the return of Bray Wyatt, which had also been promoted throughout the week.

The overnight figure a sliver ahead of last week’s final average of 2,065,000 viewers, which was its highest mark since April 17th.

The 18-49 demo saw another 0.5 for SmackDown, which is what the show has been posting for the previous two months. SmackDown was behind the second hour of ABC’s 20/20 and tied with the network’s special on Juneteenth, which also did 0.5 in the demo.

The final number for SmackDown reflecting the entire country will be released Monday.

Well, I say good! I hate when I really enjoy your show and then I see the ratings tank. It always makes me think they’re going to change things around. The show was good so I’m glad it’s up.

I’m totally in the same boat. When I love the show, I hope the rating is good so that they don’t think they need to change something.
