Moxley defeats Danielson.

Headlining AEW Dynamite Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium was Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley competing for the vacant AEW World Championship. The title was vacated following the reported physical altercation involving former World Champion CM Punk and former World Trios Champions The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt & Nick Jackson).

Moxley and Danielson wrestled until the 10 PM EST hour and it was Moxley who bested Danielson via submission. When the show went off the air, Danielson wrapped the belt around Moxley’s waist.

For the third time in his career, Moxley is AEW World Champion. His first title reign began at Revolution 2020 and his second started when he defeated CM Punk to become the Undisputed AEW World Champion.

Wish it had been Bryan. Guess he’ll be a transitional champion for MJF to take it though.

Sure…what is this, his 3rd title win since June?

I believe Moxley is defending The AEW Championship in Cincinnati against The Battle Royal Winner

This is where I see The Firm beating up Mox and MJF cashes in

In his hometown? Think of the HEAT!
