Kenny Omega out indefinitely

Kenny Omega is out of action indefinitely after the performer posted an update and a photo from a hospital bed.

Omega did not share details beyond noting he had “tried to keep pushing past the pain for as long as I could.”

I can’t really sugar coat this. I’m out indefinitely. I tried to keep pushing past the pain for as long as I could until it became too much. Luckily doctors caught me when they did. I’ll be here so in the mean time, please enjoy wrestling! pic.twitter.com/kn9ZKUgSls

Omega appeared on this past Wednesday’s Winter Is Coming edition of Dynamite in a non-physical segment with Chris Jericho to set up an AEW tag title match with champions Ricky Starks & Big Bill at Worlds End on December 30.

The status of that match is unknown following this update from Omega.

Omega, 40, last wrestled ten days ago at the Collision tapings in Montreal against Ethan Page.

Damn man what a shame. This feels like it must be pretty serious considering how out-of-nowhere it is. Not what AEW needs right now either. Speedy recovery for Ken-Chan :pray:t3:

Brutal. Not sure what the Winnipeg Jets will do now.

Damn. Really hope it’s nothing too serious. I do wonder what doctors found.

Edit…

Move to Phoenix?

But seriously, tough one for Kenny. I’ve been reading for at least a couple years now that he is probably winding up as a full-timer. Seems like this would certainly expedite that.

Damn! I hope for the best for Omega!

When big news like this comes out, I think we should leave it to John and/or Andrew to publish the stories for the forum instead of us creating the threads. Let them do their jobs.

First Kyle Conner, now Kenny Omega. Not a good week for the Winnipeg Jets.
