Currently in NXT’s women’s division, Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell are a duo as a part of ‘The Way’ that includes Austin Theory and North American Champion Johnny Gargano.

Charlotte Flair and RAW Women’s Champion Asuka are in possession of the Women’s Tag Team Titles that they won from Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler at TLC.

The problem is that there are few women’s tag teams.

WWE thinks that if they put two people together that makes a “tag team”.

But that makes for crappy “tag team” wrestling. Good tag teams function in a way that just two random people pairings can not do.

It’ll mostly be thrown together tag teams but it helps build the women’s tag division if they at least continue with one or two of these thrown together tag teams.

True if the winners get a Tag Title shot, it would give them an excuse to have Asuka and Charlotte on NXT

Personally, I’m just tired of every WWE concept having a Spear counterpart. Make something different for the women. Make the Mae Young Classic an NXT staple or a Queen Of The Ring for the main roster. Give them some different accolades. It’s wrestling. Get creative. The only concept I feel should be done for both is the Royal Rumble. But other than that, it just waters down things like War Games, Money In The Bank or the Elimination Chamber.
