Jon, i just wanted to say thank you for yet another meticulously researched topic and podcast. Owen Hart’s death has always had a personal connection with me. May 23rd 1999 was my 14th birthday. I had started watching wrestling in 1996 and like most of us here, it became all-consuming. After my birthday festivities I surfed my little smart mark self over to either LordsofPain or 411wrestling to scoop results from Over The Edge. That’s when i found out what happened.
I had been a pretty big Bret fan, and admired Owen’s skill and especially his heel antics. Today I turn 34, which coincidentally is how old Owen was when he died. Thanks for contributing a great piece to his legacy!
