I refuse to consider her a wrestler and thus didn’t throw a vote her way. I also refuse to give her any form of recognition, so there’s that.

I voted based on the nominees… a few honourable mentions though (just to inspire discussion)

  • Worst Female Wrestler - Sexy Star for obvious reasons, or Nia Jax for nearly injuring everyone she’s been in the ring with due to her sloppiness.

  • Match of the Year - I’d have gone with Okada/Omega from Dominion if it were an option, preferred it slightly more than the Wrestle Kingdom match.

  • Worst Match - I know no one but me bothered to watch TripleMania this year, but the AAA Rumble was a goddamned train-wreck. There’s bad, there’s awful, and there’s Iron Shiek at Heroes of Wrestling level awful… and the AAA Rumble was the latter.

  • Worst Supercard - AAA TripleMania, see above.

  • Babyface of the Year - Kenny Omega should really be on here, since he’s the best drawing babyface in North America. And there’s no better old-school babyface in the world right now than Matt Riddle.

Not to swing this wildly off topic but what are you basing that Nia Jax info off of? I’ve heard and seen nothing to suggest she’s sloppier than anyone else. Indeed, Sasha Banks has injured herself and others more than I’ve heard Nia causing anyone harm.

There was a run in and around Wrestlemania where Jax managed to hurt or nearly hurt an opponent almost every time she was in a match. The worst was right after Wrestlemania, where she had a match with Charlotte where she managed to drop Charlotte head-first on her knee in a botched shoulder-breaker, then immediately dropped her head-first onto the mat, and later in the match completely missed catching a moonsault to the outside, so Charlotte smashed headfirst into the ground again. Similar things happened with Bayley and Sasha Banks around the same time.

It’s not malicious or intentional disregard for her opponents’ safety or anything - but she was called up when she was green as grass, and she still makes a ton of dangerous mistakes.

I remember that Charlotte one now you mention it. That was scary. Haven’t seen anything else out of the ordinary though for someone of her experience level and I don’t think we’ve seen anything like that for a while out of her…

All that said, I barely watch WWE’s main roster now, settling for John and Wai’s recap’s to keep me up to date rather than wasting my time on shows I generally find myself bored during, so it’s entirely possible that she’s still almost killing people and I wouldn’t know because unless it’s mentioned on Rewind-a-RAW or it happens on a PPV then I won’t see it.

I do like me some Nia though. Enjoyed her in NXT facing Bayley and Asuka, and her and Tamina were the highlight of the women’s Survivor Series match for me; just wailing on each other and causing destruction - it was great! :rofl:
