In regards to whether people would have recognized Buddy Murphy at the end of the show, I believe Reigns did identify him (requesting he stay behind in thr locker room with him), and he got to speak at Shane’s town hall meeting a few weeks ago.

In regards to all the talent not on SummerSlam:

I think the WWE has a great opportunity on these four day weekends. Instead of 2 hour kick-offs and 5-6-7 hour main shows they could spread and promote Raw & SD. Take for instance, the Women’s Tag Title match from this past Monday. Promote it as the main event of the Raw after SummerSlam. Add in McIntyre vs. Alexander. Promote Nakamura vs. Ali for the main event on SD, with Black vs. Zayn.

It helps promote the television, keeps the Sunday show a reasonable length, and gives matches that would be on the short side more time to mean something.
