The longtime WWE executive is departing the company.
According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Kevin Dunn, WWE’s Executive Producer & Chief of Global Television Distribution is leaving the company.
The site noted that Dunn informed WWE of his decision ‘around Christmas week’. Dunn has been a part of WWE for more than three decades. He was hired by current Executive Chairman Vince McMahon in 1984.
As far as who’ll be filling Dunn’s roles in the company, PWInsider learned that it’ll likely be a mix of people sharing those responsibilities.
Dunn’s profile is still listed on WWE’s corporate website as of this writing.
The ideal replacement would be somebody who learned from Kevin Dunn, but who also actually likes wrestling. Needs to know how to shoot all of the “pyro and ballyhoo” without switching cameras every four seconds.
they prob gonna have someone from UFC take that role maybe a up and coming production person who can adapt UFC style production to WWE rather then anyone whos been with WWE as a way to bring fresh look to the product using UFC methods.
no the ideal person is to bring a UFC production person who will change the style of WWE to go more the route of UFC. that’s my guess who takes over and implementing what Endeavor wants
