Josh Bodom (with Sha Samuels) over Angelico
Samuels provided a distraction enabling Bodom to pick up the win with his draping piledriver. A basic opener.
Team White Wolf (Carlos Romo and A-Kid) over Besties in the World (Davey Vega and Mat Fitchett)
Two popular teams had a good babyface match with some innovative offense and crowd-pleasing dives. Josh Bodom and Sha Samuels ran in and beat down White Wolf after the match.
Undisputed British Women’s Championship
Zoe Lucas over Bea Priestley to retain
Priestley had replaced an injured Sammii Jayne. Lucas reversed a submission into a pinfall, but it didn’t quite work, and the finish confused the audience.
CCK (Chris Brookes and Jonathan Gresham) over Aussie Open (Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher)
This was a rematch of one of Rev Pro’s most highly regarded matches of 2018. The match began with 10 minutes of pure comedy that got a good reception but was too long for me. They brawled all over the building and took it to the 29-minute mark teasing a 30-minute draw. Once it got going there was some good stuff here, but it never got close to the heights of their previous match.
El Phantasmo over MJF
Both men played their roles well here, with MJF playing the arrogant heel and ELP fighting from underneath. Good match to kick off the second half.
MK McKinnan over Kip Sabian
Sabian stepped in an hour before the show to replace Chris Ridgeway, who had travel issues. Ridgeway himself had replaced Great O’Kharn during the week as O’Kharn had had to return to Japan on short notice. Both guys worked hard and had a good match considering the circumstances, but well over 2 hours into the show this crowd were ready for the main event.
PAC and Will Ospreay went to a 30-minute draw
This match was out of this world. Both men got a giant reaction coming out. Some highlights were a moonsault by PAC to the outside that bloodied Ospreay’s nose early on. This was followed by a brainbuster on the ramp that led to a near count out with Ospreay barely making it. PAC tried another moonsault in the ring, was caught on Ospreay’s shoulders and turned it into a tornado DDT in a spot that had the crowd on its feet. There was an Oscutter for two, an insane huracanrana by PAC for two, and more brawling on the outside. After 22 minutes there was a ref bump and CCK came out to a strong negative reaction. They attempted to hit Ospreay with PAC’s Dragon Gate title but both men fought them off and Aussie Open returned to run CCK back to the locker room. As the clock counted down there was a styles clash from Ospreay and a phoenix splash from PAC before he hit a low blow with 30 seconds left. The referee refused to disqualify him, PAC climbed to the top rope to hit a Red Arrow before stopping and counting the last 3 seconds down. The crowd and Ospreay wanted 5 more minutes but PAC was done.
