So I guess that the Forbidden Door is now open?

As good as Royal Rumble was, the main event on this show blew it out of the water.

Pretty solid show overall, really liked the Battle Royal and the women’s match.

That wedding segment was pretty painful though. Cassidy and Taylor come off as heels to me and I just want Miro to get a complete overhaul, it’s just not working

AEW seems to have a lack of faith in its own product to draw. It keeps resorting to using wrestlers from other federations (e.g. the women’s division for a long time), feuds with Impact, now with NJPW, using celebs like Shaq. None of this is particularly sustainable.

Why did we have a battle royal tonight for #1 contenders? Thought that was why there were rankings

I bet the AEW fanboys creamed their pants at KENTA’s appearance.

People have genuinely given this show 10/10. Absolute cult

I mean the women’s division is bad so I like them bringing in talent for now. As to the rest in order to draw you need to get eyes on the product. Not sure that impact does that but the celebrity appearances do.

John, thank you for your honesty regarding the wedding angle. It didn’t just feel like a WWE angle, it felt like a bad knockoff of a WWE angle. And worst - it was way too long.

I guess if all you are used to is Impact and WWE then their calibration of what a 10/10 show looks like is f&@ked.

I thought it was pretty cool and was also able to control my sexual functions at the same time.

Yea, fuck those AEW fan boys for liking something interesting.

I know it’s your gimmick and all, but at least attack them for stuff that is deserving, such as praising that terrible wedding or looking forward to that terrible looking tournament with Japanese women most have never heard of and the same talent that is on their roster, that is not worthy of a title shot.

You have made a mistake and replied to the wrong person. I haven’t criticised or attacked anyone.

I don’t see the problem. They have a huge stash of talent from Dark on up to the main event guys on Dynamite, and they just keep bringing in more. What is wrong with integrating wrestlers from other promotions? I will take this EVERY TIME over WWE running back the same three matchups every week with DQ finishes on RAW.

One of the biggest mistakes WWE made last year was cutting all the jobbers. Nobody ever wins in TV anymore. It’s DQ DQ DQ DQ DQ and MAYBE you get a finish on PPV. They have maybe four or five guys on each roster who they are actually willing to let get pinned. I definitely prefer AEW’s approach of fresh matchups every week and constantly bringing in new faces. I don’t think you are privy to AEW’s finances or long term plans and are therefore not qualified to determine what is or isn’t sustainable.

Us fanboys are growing on you I can see. Thanks friend.

I don’t mean financially. If all you do is inter promotional stuff, then it loses its lustre, and the line between AEW/Impact/NJPW slowly disappears so its no longer AEW
