I dont disagree with any of that, but to say wrestling is a sport, is really a joke. Wrestling has never been a sport, in any era. Anyone who says wrestling is a sport, is delusional. Yes, they are athletes, but that is where it ends. A wrestling match in WWE, AEW, NXT, WCW, NWA, whatever promotion you want to name…it is equal to a fight on Avengers Endgame and the people in charge deciding Thor is going to cut off Thanos head. It’s equal to Biff and his goons beating up Marty in Back to the Future.
Its movies, TV, circus, much more than it is a sport.
I’m not saying it is a sport in the true sense of the word. But the whole concept is it is meant to be a sport accepting it is a work rather than a shoot.
