SmackDown saw appearances from Edge and Bianca Belair after Royal Rumble victories including Roman Reigns confronting the men’s winner, an IC title three-way took place with Big E. defending against Sami Zayn and Apollo Crews, new theme music for the Dirty Dawgs, a rematch between Daniel Bryan and Cesaro, a big win for Dominik Mysterio, the late announcement of a Hulk Hogan appearance, and the news that Seth Rollins will return next week.

Loved the Cesaro/Bryan match. Swing a guy around in circles until he’s ready to puke, put him in the sharp shooter, and get a submission. What a brilliantly simple and impactful finish to a wrestling match in 2021. No need for interference, shoulders to the post, surprise roll ups, or spike piledrivers through tables covered in thumb tacks. Hopefully this means they are building to something big for Cesaro at Mania, because as the robo-fans in the Thunderdome will surely be screaming, YouDeserveIt.mp3.

If Edge doesn’t go for Reigns, it’ll just be a disappointment (unless he actually goes for the NXT title which I can’t see happening). Basically, Edge v. McIntyre doesn’t sound that great.
