John Pollock and Wai Ting review WWE WrestleMania XXVI from March 28, 2010, in Phoenix, AZ.

Headlined by a “Streak vs. Career” main event between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, they discuss whether this match lived up to expectations set by its WM25 predecessor and Shawn’s subsequent retirement.

Also, Bret Hart made his in-ring return in a No Holds Barred match against Vince McMahon. John and Wai discuss getting to know The Hart Family while working on Fight Network’s “Survival of the Hitman” documentary in the lead-up to this match, where the build went wrong, and the resulting match that left much to be desired.

This edition of the Rewind-A-Wai is presented by Espresso Executive Producer, Chad Olsen (with help from our patrons).

This was an interesting show to look back on. I’m with John and Wai in the sense that I forgot about most of this card. Video packages may seem like a chore to endure in the moment, but years later they add a lot to the viewing.

This era for WWE was kind of awful and when we complain about the current product, we should have some perspective that it could be way worse. The WWE post-Benoit tragedy to the debut of The Shield was a pretty rough time in general.
