UPDATE (7/2): We’ve uploaded the first half of this podcast for all listeners. Enjoy!

John Pollock & Wai Ting bring you a special edition of Rewind-A-Wai as they dedicate the entire episode to one of the greatest feuds in WWE history: Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels from April to October 2008.

They discuss the careers of both men leading up to the rivalry, the matches spanning a variety of styles and intensities, and memorable segments including HBK getting his face smashed through the Jeritron 5000 and his wife Rebecca being the recipient of an errant punch.

At 01:28:40, former WWE writing staff member Brad Corbitt joins us to share his behind-the-scenes memories about the story. (Check out his podcast: We Weren’t Friends In High School)

Plus, Espresso Executive Producer Jake Simpson joins us to discuss his selection before going through the Trivia Gauntlet for 2008.

I don’t know if @johnpollock or @wai0937 ever check feedback to these posts, but I just wanted to say I was really entertained and impressed by this edition of RAW.
This was a great format and great choice by Jake Simpson and I really appreciated all the research John did and his putting into context the different matches and incidents from one month to the next.

I would definitely welcome future Espresso Executive Producers picking feuds like this to review.

Great work all around by everybody!

Just finished listening to it. If I ever get the chance or have the urge to go Espresso, I would take this route as well, though my choices might be limited because I’d be thinking about ROH matches.
