GUNTHER’s reign is over.

For the second consecutive year, Sami Zayn ended a lengthy title reign at WrestleMania. In 2023, him and Kevin Owens defeated The Usos (Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso) to put an end to their Undisputed WWE Tag Title run

His test at this year’s WrestleMania was GUNTHER, who had been reigning as WWE Intercontinental Champion for 666 days.

Zayn’s wife was ringside and GUNTHER continuously taunted her as he beat Sami down. When GUNTHER became to fixated on that, Zayn caught him with a ‘Helluva Kick’ and then proceeded to give him a brainbuster on the turnbuckle.

This led to Zayn following up with two more ‘Helluva Kicks’ to end GUNTHER’s near two-year run as champion. Zayn is now a four-time WWE Intercontinental Champion.

Outstanding match, by far best of the night. Also loved Sami’s entire entrance. It completely screamed out that Vince and Kevin Dunn are gone
