The Knightline

SmackDown kicked off with LA Knight coming down to the ring to cut a promo only to be immediately cut off by Paul Heyman along with Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa. Heyman said he has always been able to spot the next megastar in this business and LA Knight is it. Heyman said that Knight has earned his attention and respect but now The Bloodline would have to do something about it. Knight said he appreciated the respect but he wasn’t buying any of his B.S. Jimmy Uso then interjected to say that Knight wasn’t making it to Fastlane. The trio then went to enter the ring when John Cena’s music hit and Cena ran to the ring backing up LA Knight. Paul Heyman then successfully convinced Jimmy & Solo to back off but Knight challenged Jimmy Uso to a one-on-one match for later tonight to which Uso agreed much to Paul Heyman’s dismay.

LET'S GO!!! 👏👏👏

Are we going to see @RealLAKnight vs. Jimmy @WWEUsos later tonight??? #SmackDown pic.twitter.com/IYh2HN41Ol

The Judgment Day was walking backstage decked in gold when Damian Priest asked why JD McDonagh was there. Rhea Ripley said she asked him to be there.

Asuka & Charlotte vs. IYO Sky & Bayley

Next up Damage CTRL’s IYO Sky & Bayley took on Asuka & Charlotte. Early in the match, Bayley threw herself in front of a dropkick to Sky in the corner, showing that the team was currently on the same page as they took control of the match. The match complexion finally changed when Charlotte got the hot tag and dominated both of her opponents. At one point, Charlotte accidentally booted Asuka, and then Bayley accidentally bumped Sky off the apron, allowing Charlotte to hit Natural Selection for the win.

Backstage, Jimmy Uso was complaining about Roman Reigns never being around to make the calls when upon entering their locker room discovered The Judgment Day sitting there waiting for them. After the break, there was a staredown between the two teams when Rhey Ripley ordered everyone out so that she and Heyman could have a chat. Damien Priest and Solo Sikoa lingered, not breaking their stare until they finally relented.

Rey Mysterio vs. Bobby Lashley

Next up, Rey Mysterio with the LWO in his corner took on Bobby Lashley accompanied by The Street Profits. Lashley largely dominated Mysterio until Rey was able to counter a spear in the corner. The match then spilled to the outside where Lashley attacked Santos Escobar. Mysterio was able to counter and hit the 619 to Lashley’s stomach followed by another one to his face. Rey ascended the ropes only to stop as The Street Profits and LWO began brawling on the outside. Rey then splashed the Profits but was met with Lashley’s spear upon re-entering the ring for the win. After the match, officials waved for help for Cruz del Toro and Joaquin Wilde as they were seemingly injured at ringside.

Later, Rey confirmed that del Toro and Wilde would not be cleared to compete tomorrow night but said he would make a phone call.

Acknowledge Rhea

Next, we went back to Rhea Ripley and Paul Heyman, now alone in the back. Rhea said, “You’re a wise man so make the wise decision – we are stronger together.” Heyman responded saying he liked it but said he had to make a phone call to get it authorized. Ripley stopped him and said it was authorized and followed that with “Paul, acknowledge me”. Heyman said she was in the wrong locker room to say something like that. Rhea said Paul is going to acknowledge her just like Jey Uso did on Raw, otherwise, they’re going to find out who’s stronger – The Judgment Day or The Bloodline. Ripley left and Heyman went to call Roman Reigns.

Fire & Dawn

Next up, another short promo package for Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn aired.

Austin Theory vs. Dragon Lee

Before the match, Theory cut a promo saying that he was the 150,000,000 Hitman and he allowed “Dwayne” to share the ring with him. Less than a minute into the next match, Grayson Waller’s music hit which distracted Dragon Lee allowing for Austin Theory to gain the advantage. Waller continued to distract Dragon Lee throughout the match, eventually leading to Cameron Grimes jumping Waller from behind which in turn distracted Theory allowing Dragon Lee to score the roll-up pin.

Clearly it's @_Theory1 who needs the "@GraysonWWE rub…"😒

Luckily, @dragonlee95 does NOT. 😏#SmackDown pic.twitter.com/BExGHtU6hD

Señor MITB

A promo package showing the history between Shinsuke Nakamura and Seth Rollins was shown. At first this seemed a bit strange to show on SmackDown, but after it ended it was clear as to why. Damien Priest was shown watching the video clutching the Money in the Bank briefcase, effectively teasing a potential cash-in tomorrow at Fastlane.

Jimmy Uso vs. LA Knight

The main event saw Jimmy Uso with Paul Heyman taking on LA Knight. The match went on for almost eight minutes when Solo Sikoa ran in and jumped LA Knight causing the disqualification. John Cena ran out and fought off Jimmy & Solo when The Judgement Day came down to the ring. Heyman and Ripley shook hands and ringside with Heyman saying “Authorized!” as the aligned Judgment Day and Bloodline squared off against Cena & Knight. Jey Uso then ran out to back them up. Then Cody Rhodes did the same, making it four on six. Heyman pulled Solo Sikoa off the ring just before the brawl ensued. The faces took turns diving onto the heels on the outside when suddenly it was just Cena and Sikoa in the ring together. Solo got the best of Cena with a superkick. JD McDonagh then attempted to attack but was quadruple-teamed as the faces all hit their finishers, standing tall as the show went off the air.

THEY'RE NOT ALONE! 🔥🔥🔥@CodyRhodes and Jey @WWEUsos have arrived to help @JohnCena and @RealLAKnight battle #TheJudgmentDay AND #TheBloodline!
