Closing out the 7/14 All Japan Pro Wrestling show was Suwama defeating Jake Lee to become the new Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion. Lee’s most recent reign began last month.

With this title win, Suwama is now an 8-time Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion. Prior to today’s win, he was last champion in March of 2020 but had to relinquish the belt due to contracting COVID.

Both Suwama and Jake are scheduled to compete in the 2022 Royal Road tournament. Here are the confirmed list of names for the tourney: Suwama, Jake Lee, Kento Miyahara, Shuji Ishikawa, Shotaro Ashino, Yuma Aoyagi, Yoshitatsu, Takao Omori, Ryuki Honda, Tamura, Atsuki Aoyagi, Yuji Nagata, Lotus Ayabe, Takura Nomura, Cyrus and Naoya Nomura.
