Tasha Steelz reflects on her victory at Hard To Kill.

The first pay-per-view event of the new year for IMPACT Wrestling was Hard To Kill. The show opened with the first-ever Knockouts Ultimate X match featuring Alisha Edwards, Lady Frost, Chelsea Green, Rosemary, Jordynne Grace and the winner of the match Tasha Steelz.

Steelz is now next in line to challenge Mickie James for the Knockouts Championship as Mickie prepares to go into the WWE women’s Royal Rumble match on 1/29.

Tasha joined Bully Ray and Dave LaGreca on Busted Open Radio to reflect on her Ultimate X win. She mapped out the road that led to the match taking place. She said it took a bit of convincing for Scott D’Amore to green light the match. Back at Slammiversary 2021, members of the Knockouts division climbed the Ultimate X structure to show Scott that they were aware of how to navigate the match if given an opportunity.

This is at the very top the X Division match, we can do anything else that the guys can do.

All competitors shared a group hug backstage after the match. Steelz said it was an emotional moment for all parties involved and it felt good to prove their doubters wrong.

Oh man, after we did do it and no one got seriously injured, no one got seriously hurt and we put our bodies on the line and we accomplished the match and we got all the chants. We got the ‘Holy sh*t’ chants, we got the ‘this is awesome’ chant and it just ran through us and it was just something backstage, like that emotion that we all just group-hugged and said, ‘We did it’ and yeah, that emotion came out of me and I was happy. I was just happy with everything that we accomplished.

IMPACT hosted television tapings coming out Hard To Kill and episodes from those tapings will begin rolling out this Thursday on AXS. Their next live pay-per-view is Rebellion in April 23rd.
