Just meant to be a fun topic. If you could trade anyone to AEW or WWE who would it be? You can take it as seriously or unserious as you want. But I wouldn’t bother getting caught up in contract details.
A couple of my ideas:
Chris Jericho from AEW to WWE
Reason being that Jericho seems to have worn out his welcome in AEW being a featured act for 5 years with some controversies outside of the ring that have turned some online fans against him. But even if you’re an AEW fan and don’t know about the accusations it seems like Jericho is on the verge of go-away heat.
Whereas in WWE he would be welcomed back by the audience as a hero. Another feather in the cap of the Triple H era to obtain an AEW original and the first AEW champion. He has enough standing in WWE to be a contender for Cody’s title, losing and then being used to put over guys like Gunther and Bron.
Giulia & Stephanie Vaquer to AEW
After the success of transforming Toni Storm into a top attraction and raising up Mariah May AEW’s women’s division has improved dramatically. But they still need contenders and young talent.
From a narrative perspective it would help AEW as being seen as being able to promote women’s wrestling and foreign talent better than WWE. While not taking somebody who is stuck in WWE’s style like Bayley would likely be.
100% agree with Jericho moving to WWE, he just doesn’t feel as if he fits in AEW anymore IMO. He was great, a pioneer at the beginning of his run, but it’s just time.
The other way, I’d love to see AJ go to AEW. There are just so many fresh matchups and angles you could do with him with his old bullet club connections, and I’d love to see stylistic wise what he could do there at this point in his career.
Chad Gable to AEW. He has had some great matches in WWE, but I would like to see him in a spot where it’s his job to have 20+ minute matches rather than an occasional thing.
Jack Perry to WWE. Hook the pettiness up to my veins.
Stephanie Vaquer felt awkward last night on NXT. Great match and great debut, but she sticks out like a sore thumb in those bad backstage segments. It was weird seeing her stood facing forward to block a scene properly while bad dialog spewed out.
Edris Enofe to AEW for Presten Vance to WWE. A weird, low stakes trade but these are two guys who have potential but are thrown under the radar.
I wanna see that New Day/ The Elite Match up, builded up to a six man tag on a BIG AEW show.
As for the House of Black. On that first week they take out all the main factions in WWE. The Judgement Day on Raw, The Bloodline on SmackDown and… I guess ‘The Family’ on NXT. King and Mathews win all the tag titles and clIm themselves as "sovereign’ from WWE. I want that “Takeover” feel in WWE, but spread across their programming while making their tag division feel highly important. Malachi Aleister Black can then be that threat as too which World title he’s gunning for (It’ll be either Cody, Roman or Punk). /fantasybooking
*I am going on the assumption that Big E is already healthy and the injury did not occur.
I’m actually surprised TK hasn’t done this already. He loves all the joke/gimmick guys only half has much as he loves NJPW talent, and Yano represents both. You can’t tell me TK hasn’t fantasy booked an Orange Cassidy/Yano Dream Match ™️ in his head, and, lowkey, that would probably be a pretty fun pairing.
Ricky Starks to WWE. Not just because it’s been rumored for months, but I think he’d be another great promo guy for them and play well off of Cody and Owens and the like.
Is it boring to say FTR to WWE? Trips booking would have to be better than Vince. I just don’t know if any tag team (other than the Bucks for spite/drama reasons) is worth the conversation in either company right now.
