I like Adesanya, but Whittaker losing like that was spiritually crushing for me.
Adesanya/Costa will be an exciting fight. I favour Stylebender but I’m not entirely convinced Paulo Costa is a real person who logic and reason apply to.
Glad someone is paying attention. I think I’ve only seen like 4 or 5 of the Marvel movies so I’m way out of of the loop.
I did see Deadpool though, it was pretty good.
Interesting tidbit, apparently Izzy’s anime (Death Note) reference was a big win, several people have come up to me and mentioned that move as ultra badass and they knew what he was doing right away.
yeah it was a pretty great pre-fight taunt. Whittaker is an anime fan too so I wouldn’t be surprised if he got the reference (if he was paying any attention).
For anyone interested, check out Whittakers youtube channel (grange tv I believe); He livestreams for about 6 minutes after the press conference and he’s such a likeable guy. It’s impossible not to respect fighters who carry themselves like that after a loss (the famous Cruz/Garbrandt one always comes to mind).
It was hard to watch, I understand that fighters want to connect with fans and express themselves right after but sometimes it might be better to sleep on it.
Not saying he looks bad or comes off poorly, just the opposite, it’s just that it’s a raw emotional expression and it kinda feels like I’m peering into somewhere a little too private.
Yeah. At least that is an example of him putting himself out there of his free will. There have been some from the thrill and agony videos that the UFC produces that are very uncomfortable to watch. It feels like a complete intrusion into the fighters privacy.
