The main event of NXT U.K. TakeOver: Blackpool II saw WALTER defending his WWE United Kingdom Championship against Gallus’ Joe Coffey. In the match prior to the main event, Wolfgang and Mark Coffey retained the NXT U.K. Tag Titles in a four-way Ladder match and brought the gold back to the Gallus faction. It was now up to Joe Coffey to bring the top men’s title in NXT U.K. to Gallus but he was not able to do so as his match with WALTER ended with WALTER submitting Coffey with a crossface.
During the match, WALTER accidentally shotgun dropkicked the official which led to Alexander Wolfe coming to the ring to guide WALTER to victory. Ilja Dragunov, who has been feuding with Wolfe over the last several months on NXT U.K. TV, brawled with Wolfe to even the odds. When the match was all said and done, Wolfe and WALTER were joined in the ring by Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner and as the show appeared to be going off the air, Undisputed ERA (Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish) ambushed Imperium and left the United Kingdom Champion WALTER laying in the ring.

Undisputed ERA and Imperium are clashing at WWE Worlds Collide on January 25th in Houston, Texas. The theme for the Worlds Collide event is NXT vs. NXT U.K. and it will also feature Rhea Ripley defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Toni Storm, and Finn Balor versus Ilja Dragunov.
Both Imperium (Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel) and Undisputed ERA (Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish) are still in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament and if both can win their next match, they’ll meet in the finals of the tournament.
