On the conversation of RAW rights…
Amazon Prime has nearly 160M subscribers in the US.
USA networks is in roughly 70M homes.

I think Amazon, like other streamers, definitely is the safe bet.

Keeping SmackDown on linear TV and experimenting with RAW on streaming.

There’s a reason why AEW’s new deal is taking as much time, because WBD wants to include all the streaming rights. Since it’s such a big piece of the puzzle going to the future.

Go to a streaming service (one I already pay for!) and end the weekly ratings talk. I’m in!

Hell of an effort from Jim Hard Bog and the Wolverines last night.

It’s so weird, there are so many analysts out there who still say cable is more lucrative than streaming even though more people are cutting the cord now than ever in flocks.

I won’t pretend to know more than people who analyze this stuff for a living. But they say cable is more lucrative than streaming because it has been historically. Eventually that tide is going to turn.

Amazon and Apple specifically aren’t in the television business only. And because of that, that can spend a ton on content creation, and it’s a drop in the bucket of their overall budgets.

Amazon going in on live sports makes sense, since they’re trying to grow their footprint in streaming.
