Bayley, Dakota Kai and Io Shirai confronted Becky Lynch and Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair at SummerSlam. Shirai has undergone a name change and she is now known as ‘IYO SKY’.

For the first time since being removed from The Judgment Day, Edge appeared on WWE programming and helped Rey and Dominik Mysterio defeat Finn Balor and Damian Priest.

The SmackDown Women’s Championship match between Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey had a ‘controversial’ finish to it. Rousey had Liv in an armbar but at the same time, Rousey’s shoulders were on the mat. Liv tapped out before the referee counted three, but the official was not paying attention to Morgan. Post-match, Rousey attacked both Liv and the referee.

The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) held onto the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships when they bested The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins).
Drew McIntyre is getting his shot at Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Clash at the Castle. McIntyre appeared at SummerSlam for a promo segment and during it, he shouted out a fan in the front row and the crowd began to chant the fan’s name.
Pat McAfee had his fifth match in WWE at SummerSlam and picked up a win over Happy Corbin. As Corbin was coming to the ring, the choir who sang McAfee to the ring were calling Corbin a bum in unison.

As the Logan Paul versus Miz match was ongoing, AJ Styles ambushed Ciampa and they brawled until Ciampa was away from ringside. Paul defeated Miz with the ‘Skull Crushing Finale’ finisher.
Former 4-time WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool was present in the front row.
The United States Championship remained in the possession of Bobby Lashley. He tapped out Theory to retain.
Knox County Mayor Glenn ‘Kane’ Jacobs appeared to announce the attendance for SummerSlam which was 48,449.
