UPDATE: The contest is now closed. The entries were fucking amazing. Thank you all who entered!
ORIGINAL:
As announced on the Oct. 9th Rewind-A-Dynamite, we’re looking for a theme song for POST’s weekly AEW review podcast.
Post your entries below with links to your songs (many use YouTube and Soundcloud) along with any lyrics and info you have to say about it.
Because we publish our podcasts across various platforms, we please ask that you submit original works only.
We’ll be accepting submissions until the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 23rd. John and I will play each entry on that evening’s edition of Rewind-A-Dynamite.
Hi guys, Callum from Manchester UK here with my entry. As you alluded to when announcing the contest I have been sitting on this for a while now after having a suspicion you would do such a competition! I had the lyric and melody a few weeks back and just needed you to confirm the title before finishing the recording
You may remember my entries for previous contests, being the ‘ukulele guy’ for the RAR comp and the ‘Jimmy Eat World’ guy for RAS. Hopefully you’ll see I’ve taken onboard the feedback I got from those!
Noticed the ‘original works’ bit in the rules, I’m assuming the sample at the beginning can be deemed ‘fair use’ given its clearly tongue-in-cheek nature! Otherwise can be removed if required.
The first run-through with lyrics lasts 45 secs, then it has a 2nd one which is instrumental to allow for voice-overs etc.
Hope you enjoy it!

Hey guys! This is Jacob Chesnut from Birmingham,AL. Hope you are doing well. I started back watching wrestling about 2 years ago as my at the time 7 year old son was getting into it. I travel a decent amount and am always looking for podcasts to kill some time and stumbled upon Post Wrestling about a year ago. I absolutely love listening to you guys and I always appreciate hearing from smart journalism and actual interesting interviewers. Let me know if you need anything mixed differently for this submission and I can’t wait to hear all of the awesome theme songs that are sent in.

Hit the switch on TNT
and Rewind-a-Dynamite!
Hello. Daniel Perry here from London with an entry for this delightful competition.
The song is to give that more upbeat catchy rock n roll track to wake everyone up midway through the intense wrestling week that currently is. With the Raw and Smackdown themes having that more catchy mellower poppy approach (I love them by the way), I thought a bit of a difference would be something that keeps the catch hooks but rocks it out a little.
Anyway, it’s short, to the point and has enough of a sound bed to fade out from. Here are the lyrics:
"Light the fuse, get close to the flame,
For John, there’s only one Wai,
Mercury Day, ready to fight,
Rewind-A-Dynamite yeah!
If I had to choose so far I’d vote for Jacob’s entry as that’s been the most catchy to me so far (BUBBLY!), but it’s very close. Great work all around.
Best I can do in terms of posting it, but if someone wants to teach me I’d welcome it.
